Has The World Run Out of Possibilities?

In Jeannette Wilson's booksite about her "The Stone Gods" she says of another planet like earth: "This is a world where everyone is bio-enhanced and bored to death. It is a world that has run out of possibilities." My vision is that by making greater use of our Knowosphere and cyber clouds we can avoid that mindless fate.
